History of Lundehunds....
The Norweigian Lundehund is a rare and
ancient breed dating back to the 1400s. The name "Lundehund" is a combination of the Norwegian words "lunde", the Puffin bird,
and "hund" meaning dog. Native to Norway, the Lundehund was bred to climb steepe oceanside cliffs to hunt and retrieve the
Puffin, a meat, down and feather crop for the Norwegian farmer.
